Terms & conditions

General:

In respect of the commitment between teacher and student, the following terms and conditions apply:

Payments & Commitment

  1. Payments to Yogalates London can be made by online payment via Stripe or by bank transfer. All payments must be made in advance of your class, workshop, or retreat starting, unless you've chosen a payment plan, in which case at least one payment must be made before we begin working together.

  2. All payments are non-refundable, except where Yogalates London cancels a class, event, or retreat.

  3. Teacher and student both agree to aim to start and finish each session on time. It works best when we're both mindful of each other's time.

Specific:

Health & wellbeing

  1. Solomon Yogalates™ is a safe and effective system of exercise, with care taken to look after each student's wellbeing. That said, no form of exercise is entirely without risk, and it's important that students take full responsibility for their own practice and wellbeing in class. Please discuss any health concerns with a healthcare professional beforehand, and let your teacher know of any medical conditions or physical limitations before class begins. Listening to your body and adjusting the practice to suit your own capabilities is part of the process, and helps ensure no injury occurs. Should an injury occur during a Yogalates London class, the teacher cannot be held accountable.

  2. If you're pregnant, become pregnant, or are post-natal or post-surgical, signing up to class confirms you have your physician's approval to participate.

Group classes, mini retreats & events

  1. All Yogalates London group classes, online classes, workshops, and events are non-refundable, except where the organiser cancels the event or class, in which case a refund will be given for in-person group events.

  2. Half term, full term, and 4-week blocks are only valid for the dates specified on this website at the time of purchase. Places cannot be deferred.

  3. If you're unable to make an in-person group class during a term (illness included), you're welcome to arrange for someone to take your place at no extra charge.

  4. Single class passes are only valid for the date chosen at checkout.

Private tuition

Thank you for booking private tuition with Yogalates London. Here's everything you need to know, laid out simply so there are no surprises.

1. Booking & Payment Private class packages must be paid for in full before sessions are arranged. Payment can be made by online transfer or cheque. Three classes is the minimum package available.

2. Scheduling Your Sessions Dates and times are only confirmed once payment has been received. Private tuition tends to work best on a weekly rhythm, with one or two sessions booked per week, though irregular scheduling can be arranged if needed.

  • A 3 class package must be used within 10 weeks of booking.

  • A 6 class package must be used within 3 months of booking.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours notice, otherwise the session will be forfeited. Life happens, of course, so in exceptional circumstances this can be flexible. Just let Beth know as soon as possible at beth@yogalateslondon.com.

If Beth needs to cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you'll be offered a refund or a replacement session at a time that suits you.

4. Group Size & Pricing Private packages are priced according to the number of students attending. Three students is the maximum for a private session.

5. Refunds & Transfers Private packages are non-refundable but fully transferrable. If you're unable to attend an in-person session, you're welcome to arrange for someone else to take your place. Transfer requests must be made in writing to beth@yogalateslondon.com.

6. Travel (Face to Face Lessons) Travel time is included in the package price for up to one hour in total. If travel is likely to exceed this, please have a chat with Beth before booking, as an additional fee will apply.

Gift certificates

Gift certificates must be used within six months of purchase and are strictly non-refundable but should the recipient wish to pass on their certificate to someone else, the gift certificates are fully transferrable.

By registering to attend a Yogalates retreat, the student agrees to purchase his or her own travel insurance in advance of attending to cover all possible circumstances. Travel insurance is a compulsory requirement for students attending any Yogalates London retreat, so the participant can claim back some of the costs if he/she is unable to attend.

The organiser does not accept any liability for travel disruptions of any kind, or loss of or damage to participants’ personal property.  If you have had any major physical or emotional illness within the past 5 years, or are under medical or psychiatric supervision, you must notify the organiser of the details at the time of booking and, where appropriate, enclose a doctor's certificate. Non-disclosure of relevant information can invalidate your insurance and cancel the contractual obligation between organiser and participant.

Yogalates teacher training

I’m so pleased you’re thinking about joining my next 80 hour CPD Yogalates training!

Here's everything you need to know, laid out clearly:

1. Attendance & Certification To receive your certificate of completion, please attend at least 70% of the scheduled live Zoom sessions listed in your course timetable. Missed a session? No problem, all sessions are recorded and available to download, so simply catch up within one week of the recording being uploaded.

At the end of the course, you'll complete a short online quiz to check your understanding. It's untimed, so there's no pressure, and you're welcome to use your notes or any course materials as you go. If you don't quite hit the pass mark first time, you'll simply be invited to retake it. No one has failed a retake yet! This quiz is a required step for certification.

2. Weekly Viewing Commitment To support your learning and teaching confidence, each weekly Yogalates class should be watched twice:

  • Once as a participant, experiencing the class in your body, as a student.

  • Once as an observer, taking notes and reflecting on structure and teaching cues.

These hours form an essential part of your certified CPD learning and are included in your total course hours.

3. Payment Plans & Fees If you've chosen to pay in instalments, payments are processed automatically through MoonClerk, in conjunction with Stripe. If a payment is missed, you'll have a two week grace period to resolve it. If it's still outstanding after this time, access to the course may be paused until your account is up to date.

Choosing a payment plan means committing to pay the full course fee according to your selected schedule, even if you don't complete the training.

4. Refunds & Deferrals Course fees are non-refundable once registration is complete, even if you're unable to participate or finish the course.

That said, life can be unpredictable. If something prevents you from attending, you're welcome to request a deferral to the next available training. All deferral requests must be made in writing to beth@yogalateslondon.com, and will be reviewed case by case.

In the unlikely event that Yogalates London needs to cancel the course, you'll receive a full refund of all fees paid.

5. Course Materials & Intellectual Property Your registration gives you personal access to all materials provided during training, including videos, documents, and other resources. These remain the intellectual property of Yogalates London.

Please don't share these materials with others, whether for free or commercially. Your access is intended for your individual educational use only.

6. Health, Safety & Participation This training involves physical Yogalates practice. While sessions are designed to be safe and accessible, you participate at your own risk and are responsible for listening to your body and modifying as needed.

By enrolling, you confirm you're in good physical health and able to take part in physical activity. If you have any health concerns, please seek medical advice before starting the course.

Yogalates London and its instructors are not liable for any injury, health issues, or other damages that may occur during the course. Your participation means you understand and accept this responsibility.
