What to expect:

  • Restorative Yoga Nidra:

Translated from the Sanskrit, Yoga Nidra means ‘yogic sleep’. This deeply relaxing, ancient guided meditation practice involves simple visualisation techniques to navigate between sleeping and waking states of consciousness. Students report sleeping better afterwards, experiencing improved mental clarity, less anxiety, and greater peace of mind.

There have been numerous clinical studies suggesting that Yoga Nidra can be a successful therapy for those suffering from insomnia, PTSD, stress and anxiety.

  • Nourishing Yin Yoga:

Beth will guide you through a deeply relaxing Yin yoga practice for the first part of the evening. Expect slow, passive, floor-based yoga postures, with plenty of props for support.

Yin is suitable for all abilities but is particularly popular for its stress-relieving and soothing effects for body, mind & spirit. Holding poses softly in stillness and relaxing muscular effort calms the body’s stress response, freeing up constricted circulation and energy flow in the body.

Students often report feeling more grounded, open and centred, with greater freedom of movement in commonly tight areas such as hamstrings, glutes, back, hips & shoulders.

No yoga experience required, all welcome.

  • Crystal bowl sound healing:

The final part of the evening will be led by Zoe Smith (@zoes.zen), a qualified sound therapist and 500hr yoga teacher who runs regular sold out sound baths in Surrey.  Zoe has been involved in holistic therapy for over ten years, her purpose and passion to spread light and the powerful therapeutic benefits of yoga & sound healing far and wide.

During the session you’ll be guided through a 45 minute immersive sonic journey, using sound vibrations to create powerful shifts for body & mind, bringing balance to vital energy points and healing on a cellular level.

Lie down, relax, and allow the crystal bowls to guide you through an experience quite unlike anything else…

I had such a lovely time at Beth’s mini-retreat. I haven’t felt so relaxed for a long time. Even better, I had a wonderful night’s sleep afterwards. My sleep tracker recorded a 50% increase in my deep sleep that night, so it’s certainly worth a try if, like me, you have sleep problems.

Such an awesome retreat we just had - I am feeling so relaxed and energised at the same time...wish it lasted longer! You took me back to life - so hard to find words to express my gratefulness to you.
— Oxana Salakhieva

After being really stiff for weeks the Yin poses really loosened me up. I did my best run for ages in a 10k club race this morning without any of the hip and back pain I often feel locked in after working at a desk. It knocked a good 30 secs per mile off my time!
— Duncan Brown, Richmond

I attended one of Beth’s Mini Retreats on invitation from my wife. I would highly recommend this for anyone who is serious about better understanding their body and shifting the dial on flexibility, as well as gaining a deep understanding and contemplation that enables the change.”

It was wonderful to have the opportunity to relax into poses, unlocking the stresses and strains of the usual hectic daily schedule.  By the end I had such a wonderful feeling of calm and felt much better able to cope with the challenges ahead.

Beth is the only yoga teacher I have found that I enjoy doing Yin Yoga with. Her teaching style really resonates with me, she is down to earth and relatable. She gives great, easy to understand instructions, explains why we are doing something and how we may feel in the pose, which I find really helpful.
