Wild & Free retreat

4-day Yogalates, Yin & Sound healing retreat in Norfolk

20th-23rd September 2024

Yearning for a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Look no further!

Reconnect with the natural world and come home to yourself on this three-night eco-paradise escape to the North Norfolk countryside…

Run on over 90% renewable energy and full of abundant wildlife, West Lexham is the ideal retreat space to unplug and unwind. By extending this to a four day escape (most weekend retreats are too short in my opinion!), you’ll have time and space to really relax and immerse yourself in these unforgettable surroundings.

My retreats offer the perfect balance of activity and rest, nourishing movement and stillness.

Expect enlivening and restorative classes, a relaxing sound bath, three nourishing meals per day, plus plenty of spare time to breathe in the fresh country air and explore enchanting wild nature.

Spend an afternoon cosied up with a book in the warmth of a log burning stove, or enjoy a refreshing paddleboard or swim in the lake or in the heated, naturally filtered pool. Make new friends around the fire pit under the stars… everything is optional. Do as much, or as little, as you like!

Our eco-paradise

An award-winning eco-friendly estate, West Lexham is one of the most favoured retreat centres in the UK.

Set in a protected river valley with ancient trees and one of the cleanest chalk streams in the world running through it, this family-run estate is a 21-acre slice of Eden. An active habitat for biodiversity, its floating water meadows have earned it a title as a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’.

Our secluded retreat center offers a peaceful sanctuary where you can truly disconnect and recharge.

“I loved Beth’s Yogalates retreat. I left feeling 10 years younger and have continued to practise since returning home. It was a life affirming experience, I feel good, more positive about life and less anxious. Can’t wait for the next one!”
— Deborah, 59

The ultimate escape from the day-to-day, this retreat will allow you to do just that; retreat.

Come back to your breath, come back to your body and reconnect with the beauty and tranquility of nature whilst enjoying the comfort and charm of this idyllic 21-acre country estate.

Return home feeling refreshed and reinvigorated.

  • Morning Yogalates

Our weekend morning practice will be a dynamic, yet accessible fusion of Hatha Yoga and Pilates, known as Solomon Yogalates™.

This award-winning method intelligently combines core-stabilising mat Pilates exercises with traditional, heart-opening Yoga practices.

Connecting breath and movement in a way that will leave you feeling strong, energised and ready for each beautiful day on retreat.

Classes are tailored to suit most abilities, beginners & intermediate levels welcome. This adults-only retreat is open to men and women. All classes will take place in the large space in the barn (see photo at the top) with underfloor heating.

  • Evening Yin Yoga

Allow your body and mind to surrender into floor-based yoga poses, releasing tension, and promoting deep tissue relaxation.

On Saturday afternoon you’ll be guided through a deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra (guided sleep meditation) before the evening sound bath event, aiding sleep, boosting your energy reserves and shifting brain waves into regeneration & repair mode.

These restorative late afternoon sessions are specifically designed to support you in letting go of stress, strain and fatigue.

  • Saturday sound bath

To cap off our second day on retreat in style, we’ll enjoy a deeply relaxing sound bath.

Our expert sound healer will use a variety of instruments, including singing bowls and chimes, to create a therapeutic soundscape of vibrations that will resonate through your body, restoring harmony and promoting healing.

All you need to do is lie down and enjoy the calming, meditative sound vibrations, like floating on water!

Feel good extras…

  • Lake for wild swimming, boating or paddle boarding

  • Naturally filtered, heated swimming pool

  • 2 log burning stoves in our spacious seating area in the barn

  • Library in the barn

  • Fire pit for cosy evenings (weather dependant!)

  • Sanctuary garden for quiet time

“The retreat has enriched my spirit, calmed and contented my mind & body. I’ve enjoyed the peace, the classes, the food, the freedom, and the opportunity to embrace some of the things that have been missing from my everyday life. As someone who knows so little about yoga it has been a chance to re-set and start again with a renewed, clearer ambition. It’s been a journey of discovery for me and I’m eager to continue.”
— Peter Burdin, Buckinghamshire

“Beth’s retreat was the big warm hug I needed. It was wonderful to be able to switch off. Delicious food, marvellous company, a beautiful setting - and of course top quality Yogalates sessions from the master! I’m desperate to go again next year!”
— Ellie, Surbiton

“It was absolutely an incredible experience… I got a full recharge of my batteries. The food was also amazing and inspired me to change my eating habits. I’m looking forward to future retreats with Beth!”
