Terms & conditions
In respect of the commitment between teacher and student, the following terms and conditions apply:
Payments to Yogalates London can be made via online transfer, cash or cheque. All payments must be made in advance of the commencement of the class, workshop or retreat you are attending.
All packages purchased from Yogalates London (excluding weekend retreats, see terms and conditions below) are strictly non-refundable.
Both student and teacher agree to do their best to start and finish each session on time.
Health & wellbeing
Yogalates™ is a very safe & effective system of exercise; much care is taken to ensure your well being. However it is required that the student take full responsibility for their own practice in class. It is the student's responsibility to discuss any health concerns with a health care professional and to make the teacher aware of any medical conditions or physical limitations before class. The student agrees to honour their body by adjusting the practice according to their own capabilities to ensure that no personal injury occurs. Should injury occur during class, the teacher will not be held accountable.
If the student is pregnant, becomes pregnant or is post-natal or post-surgical, by signing up to class they confirm they have a physician's approval to participate.
Group Classes & Day events
If the student is unable to make a class in the term they can arrange for someone to replace them at no extra charge. They may have the option to transfer their place to another class during the same term, subject to availability. All classes in a termly pass must be used by the end of the current term and cannot be transferred onto another term.
Half term passes are only valid for one half term period and cannot be transferred onto another half term.
Mind body flow summer course
By registering to attend the specialist summer course ‘Mind Body Flow’, the student agrees that this entitles them to attend sessions only at the venue specific to their chosen group (Hammersmith or St Margarets). Students will not be able to transfer their attendance between the two groups running at different venues, due to limited capacity on the course.
By signing up to this course the student agrees to take full responsibility for his or her own health and wellbeing. Students also agree to receive all course materials with an attitude of open-mindedness and a willingness to get the most out of the programme.
Cancellation policy for ‘Mind Body Flow’:
If a student needs to cancel their place on this course they will receive a 50% refund of any payment made, provided they notify either Beth Morgan or Lis Cancio in writing by Monday 1st July 2019. After this period the student agrees to forfeit all costs of the course. The student is also welcome to offer their place to another person to attend in their absence should they wish to do so, at no added cost.
In the unlikely event that the course is cancelled by either Beth or Lis, the participant will be refunded the full amount paid.
Private class packages must be paid for in advance of arranging the sessions, and payment can be made via online transfer or cheque. A three class package is the minimum number of sessions available.
Booking can only be confirmed once payment is taken, then the dates of the classes can be mutual agreed upon. Private tuition is most effective when taken on consecutive weeks, with one or two sessions scheduled per week, but irregular dates can be agreed upon if necessary. All sessions in a 3 class package must be used within 6 weeks of booking. All sessions in a 6 class package must be used within 12 weeks of booking. Sessions not used within this time frame will be forfeited.
Should the student need to cancel or reschedule a class for any reason, 24 hours notice must be given, otherwise the session will be forfeited, except in cases of emergency, in which case the student must inform the teacher of the nature of the emergency by emailing email@example.com. If the teacher needs to cancel a class and gives less than 24 hours notice, a full refund will be given to the student. If the student prefers, a replacement class can be arranged at a mutually convenient time.
Private packages increase in price according to the number of students in the class. Three students is the maximum for a private session.
Private packages are non-refundable but they are fully transferrable; if the student cannot attend a session they can send another person in their place. All requests for transfers must be received in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. Private tuition sessions are not transferrable to Yogalates London public classes, events or retreats.
If the sessions are held outside of the Yogalates London studio, the teacher's travel time is included in the package price. If teacher's travel time exceeds a total of one hour, please discuss options with the teacher before booking. An extra fee will be charged for travel time over a total of one hour.
Gift certificates must be used within six months of purchase and are strictly non-refundable but should the recipient wish to pass on their certificate to someone else, the gift certificates are fully transferrable.
Gift certificate sessions may only be redeemed by new Yogalates London clients, though existing clients are welcome to purchase them for friends and family.
Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness. If you cancel your participation in a weekend retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply, with no exceptions.
It is strongly recommended that each retreat guest purchases travel insurance immediately when booking. This is to ensure the student has comprehensive health coverage so that should the student need to cancel, the costs can be covered.
Cancellation refund policy for weekend retreats:
If the student needs to cancel 90 days or more before the retreat start date they will receive a 50% refund of any payment made.
If the student needs to cancel 30 days or more before the retreat start date they will receive a 30% refund of any payment made.
If the student needs to cancel within 30 days of the retreat start date they agree to forfeit all costs and no refund can be made.
The organiser does not accept any liability for travel disruptions of any kind or loss of, or damage to, personal property of participants. If you have had any major physical or emotional illness within the past 5 years, or are under medical or psychiatric supervision, you must notify the organiser of the details at the time of booking and, where appropriate, enclose a doctor's certificate. Non-disclosure of relevant information can invalidate your insurance and cancel the contractual obligation between organiser and participant.
In the unlikely event that the retreat must be cancelled by the organiser, all payments made will be refunded back to the student, however airfares or travel costs incurred cannot be refunded. To cover these risks, it is highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
