Sessions run for 90 minutes and can be taken either in the comfort of your own home or in my studio in Fulham (my travel costs and the equipment I provide are included in the overall package cost). We focus on whatever needs attention, this can be anything from improving general fitness, strength, tone and flexibility to developing a daily home practice for stress relief and relaxation.
Specific adjustments are offered with a focus on alignment, to develop a safe and personal practice unique to you. If you are a beginner we will start with the basic principles of Yogalates, establishing a strong and flexible foundation for movement that impacts not just your practice on the yoga mat but your everyday wellbeing, mobility and health.
POsture & mobility
If improving your posture and mobility are top of your list of priorities, you've come to the right place! As a therapeutics-based exercise system, Yogalates can also be a great aid for those suffering from back pain, due its focus on promoting healthy diaphragmatic breathing, the 'neutral spine' concept and overall joint mobility, not to mention a Pilates inspired emphasis on core stability. All these factors together contribute to the health of your spine.
With your permission, I like to do a quick posture assessment at the start of our first session, to get a better idea of what we need to work on.
During private sessions with me you will have the opportunity to work with a brand new revolutionary yoga prop recently on the market called 'The Buttafly'. This therapeutic yoga prop was expertly designed by UK based yoga teacher and physiotherapist Louise James, and can be used in a myriad of positions to encourage freedom in the body, healthy joints and correct spinal alignment. Stress & anxiety
Mindfulness techniques, yogic breathing exercises and restorative postures are wonderful tools to help manage stress and anxiety, restoring a sense of calm and giving you tools to approach everyday challenging situations with confidence and ease. Unique to Yogalates, private sessions have a therapeutic focus with mini-massages offered and guided relaxation or yoga nidra at the end.
Home or Studio?
You can choose to take your sessions in the comfort of your own home, providing the location is within an eight mile radius of Fulham (the Yogalates equipment I provide and my travel costs are included in the package price).
You are also welcome to visit my studio in Fulham if you prefer.

Sessions last one hour and a half (90 minutes), allowing time for us to move through the exercises with care and consideration at a pace that feels good for you. It can be nice to chat over the phone or via email beforehand, so I can get a clear picture of what it is you'd like to gain from our sessions together and answer any questions you may have.
Sharing a session?
Sharing private tuition with another person, a friend or family member perhaps, can be a really fun option that can help you stay on track with your health and wellness goals.
Three students is the maximum capacity in a private class to ensure all clients get the individual attention they need.
